This is how I got HIV (the illness). My ex-boyfriend had a girl braid my hair, and gave me a ride to the gas station, 4 blocks from my place. Advice to other members:
My advice to others, is don’t stay in domestic violent situations, because mental and verbal abuse is worse than physical abuse, but no one will do anything about it, so leave. Next, when you have sex with someone, use protection and try to get their info, and write it down. Then get tested because protected or unprotected sex, condoms aren’t 100% safe. And finally, make sure you’re in a well lit area and have a friend walk with you or a cell phone and pepper spray with you, to protect yourself. You’re worth it!
