Some experiences about living with HIV: Thank God for being above ground!

This is how I got HIV (the illness). My ex-boyfriend had a girl braid my hair, and gave me a ride to the gas station, 4 blocks from my place. My son’s father kept on ringing my phone, because if I wasn’t home when he wanted me to, the arguments would start. Advice to other members:

My advice to others, is don’t stay in domestic violent situations, because mental and verbal abuse is worse than physical abuse, but no one will do anything about it, so leave. Next, when you have sex with someone, use protection and try to get their info, and write it down. Then get tested because protected or unprotected sex, condoms aren’t 100% safe. And finally, make sure you’re in a well lit area and have a friend walk with you or a cell phone and pepper spray with you, to protect yourself. You’re worth it!
