Joel and I corresponded for about 3 weeks before finally meeting. I was deployed to Afghanistan getting ready to come home. After getting home from my deployment I was
as to come home to visit which work out perfect because he is also in the military stationed about 2 hours away from my home town. We planned to meet the first weekend I was home but I backed out at the last minute. I called and apologized for standing him up and he joked saying he wasn’t surprised because I’m a “light skin chick” lol.
We ended up meeting the next weekend and it was the most fun I had in a long time. We went out to dinner caught a movie and took a walk in the park and talked. He was
so down to earth and easy to talk to I felt like I had known him for years. He was also such a gentleman and veryyy good looking!! After that first date we have been
inseparable. I’m happy to have found someone in the military like me and understanding of what I go through. We’ve both relocated to be closer to each other.
And we have been together for about 10 months now and we are currently engaged. I never would of thought I would have found love on a social site but as I sit here and look at this man I am so thankful I gave it a shot he is my soul mate!!
